OUR STORY

A Cuban Coffee Story, Made by Two

A Cuban coffee tradition brewed the real way and worth sharing.

HOW IT BEGAN

Two People, One Cuban Tradition

Alfred and Yvette wanted to build something together. Yvette has always loved coffee, so when the idea came up, it just fit. The Cuban part runs in the family. Alfred's stepfather and father both are Cuban, and years ago he taught Yvette how to make Cuban coffee at home. They fell in love with it, and in July 2024 they opened Espumita to share that authentic flavor with Riverside.

THE CRAFT

Made the Real Way

We brew only with a moka pot, the traditional Cuban method that traveled from Italy to Spain to Cuba. It is the reason our coffee tastes the way a Cuban would make it at home. Espumita means little foam, the sweet, frothy top that comes from whipping the first dark brew with sugar. That little foam is our name and our signature.
